Burntcoat Head Park is home to the world’s highest recorded tides. Owned and operated by the Municipality of East Hants, the park is open seasonally from mid-May to mid-October.

While the stunning shoreline may draw you in, visitors also appreciate the green space and wooded areas, as well as the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Picnic tables and benches are available throughout the park. Climb to the top of the historic replica lighthouse and visit the gift shop.

Burntcoat Head Park is in Mi’kma’ki and the District of Sipekne’katik, the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people.
